Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your IO River account by requiring a one-time code from your mobile device, in addition to your password, when you log in.

Enabling MFA​

Users can enable MFA for their individual IO River accounts:

  1. Navigate to the Account page.
  2. In the sidebar, select MFA Setup.
  3. On your mobile device, open your Multi-factor Authentication application, and scan the QR code.
  4. Follow the instructions in your application until you get an authentication code.
  5. Type in the code in the Authentication Code field, and click Apply.

Now, whenever you login to IO River you will be required to create a one-time code on your mobile device and type it in.
